- Founder and member of The Loeffler Law firm, LLC, located in Port Clinton and Sandusky, Ohio. Client base is located throughout Ohio and the United States.
- Former prosecutor, U.S. Bankruptcy Trustee, commercial litigation attorney and board member of a community bank.
- Practice limited to asset protection, estate planning, Medicaid/nursing home/elder law planning, business planning, trusts, real estate and representing lottery winners. In recent years, Bo has had the opportunity to represent and consult with a number of Ohio Lottery winners.
- Professional Memberships include: the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC-Fellow); Ohio State Bar Association (Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law Section (Section Council); Ohio Legacy Trusts (DAPT) committee; Business Entities committee; Co-chair Asset Protection and Legacy Trust committee.
- Co-author of HB 479 (along with Ohio attorneys, John Sullivan, Michael Stegman, Brian Layman and Dan Griffith). Gave the lead off proponent testimony involving HB 479 and the creation of the Ohio Legacy Trust (eff. 3/27/2013) to both the Ohio House Judiciary and the Ohio Senate Judiciary committees.
- Co-author of statutory LLC charging order protections as contained in HB 48 (eff. 5/4/2012).
- Co-founder of the recently established Ohio Asset Protection and Legacy Trust Institute in collaboration with the Ohio State Bar Association.
- Completed the training programs of both the National Network of Estate Attorneys and the Medicaid Practice Systems Collaborative. Graduate of the Esperti-Petersen Institute for Advanced Estate Planning.
- Co-author of For Ohio Doctors – A Guide to Asset Protection, Tax and Estate Planning (Guardian Press 2010).
- Authored and presented numerous CLEs in the areas of asset protection, business planning, domestic asset protection trusts and trust planning to state, national and local organizations.
