  • June 18, 2013 - (Cleveland) Bo presents CLE to the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, “Protecting the Family Jewels: The Opportunities and Protections of Ohio HB 479 and HB 48.
  • April 22, 2013 - (Columbus) Bo hosts and presents at the Ohio State Bar Association’s First Annual Ohio Asset Protection and Legacy Trust Institute (it is the single largest attended CLE one-day event in the history of the OSBA).
  • March 27, 2013 - (Columbus) HB 479 becomes law in Ohio.
  • March 10, 2013 - (Washington, DC) Bo is elected a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC).
  • Feb. 5, 2013 - (Columbus) Bo together with the Ohio State Bar Association and his co-authors of HB 479, Michael Stegman, John Sullivan, Dan Griffith and Brian Layman form the Ohio Asset Protection and Legacy Trust Institute.
  • Jan. 12, 2013 - (Columbus) Bo is named co-chair of the Asset Protection and Legacy Trust Committee of the Ohio State Bar Association’s, Estate Planning Trust Probate Law Section.
  • December 20, 2012 - (Columbus) HB 479 (OAMMA) is signed into law by Gov. John Kasich. Bo and his colleagues attend the Governor’s signing ceremony for HB 479 along with co-sponsors Rep. Louis Blessing and Rep. Christina Hagan.
  • December 11, 2012 - (Columbus) HB 479 (OAMMA) passes the Ohio Senate unanimously. Bo is recognized from the Senate floor by OAMMA co-sponsor Senator Mark Wagoner for his efforts at co-authoring HB 479 and for getting OAMMA passed in both the Ohio House of Representatives and the Ohio Senate.
  • November 14, 2012 - (Columbus, Ohio) Bo presents at the annual OSBA Probate Litigation Seminar, a summary of HB 479, the Ohio Asset Management Modernization Act.
  • September 7, 2012 - (Columbus, Ohio) Bo is appointed by the Ohio State Bar Association leadership, to be a member of the Ohio State Bar Association Estate Planning Trust and Probate Law Section Council (EPTPL).
  • June 13, 2012 - (Columbus, Ohio) HB 479 (OAMMA) passes the Ohio House of Representatives unanimously 86-0 and now moves on to the Ohio Senate.
  • March 27, 2012 – (Columbus, Ohio) Bo gives lead off proponent testimony on March 27, 2012 in support HB 479 which is the Ohio Asset Management Modernization Act (OAMMA) and is designed to make Ohio one of the most competitive trust and business jurisdictions in the country; similar to Delaware, South Dakota and Nevada.
  • November 15, 2011 - (Columbus, Ohio) Bo gives interested party testimony to the Ohio Senate Judiciary Committee in support of changes to the Ohio LLC charging order statute contained in Sub. HB 48, designed to make Ohio one of the most competitive LLC jurisdictions in the country. The changes are adopted by the Ohio Legislature and signed into law by Ohio Governor John Kasich and take effect on May 4, 2012.
  • October 22, 2010 - (Columbus, Ohio) Bo co-presents with members of the OSBA Buckeye Legacy Subcommittee to the OSBA Screening Committee, the proposed Ohio Domestic Asset Protection Trust Statute.
  • October 1, 2010 - Bo co-authors recently published book, For Ohio Doctors: Shedding Light on Asset Protection, Tax and Estate Planning (Guardian Press, 2010)
  • May 7, 2010 - (Dayton, Ohio) Bo co-presents with members of the OSBA Buckeye Legacy Subcommittee to the OSBA Estate Planning, Trust & Probate Law Section (EPTPL) at their Spring Meeting, the proposed Ohio Domestic Asset Protection Trust Statute. The EPTPL passes this proposed legislation.
  • May 7, 2010 - Bo co-presents with John Sullivan III, Esq., the seminar "Ohio Asset Protection: Fundamental Theories and Basic Practice Points" to the Ohio State Bar Association Annual Convention in Dayton, Ohio.
  • April 30, 2010 - Bo co-presents with Randall Borkus, Esq., of In Know Vision, the seminar "Domestic Asset Protection Trusts (DAPT)" to the National Network of Estate Planning Attorneys in Indianapolis, Indiana.
